I love lemons. They have an incredible way of helping us clear the junk from our body, not to mention the fat

. How? Let's start here. Imagine never changing or cleaning the air conditioning filters in your home or in your car. What would happen? That's right, the AC unit or the car would break down before its time. Talk about stress and expensive! So what does that have to do with lemons, you might ask? Here goes...

Most people don't know that our kidneys, our lungs and our liver are filters. Boy oh boy, do we give them punishment. Whether its from all fat foods, processed foods, alcohol, genetically modified foods, pesticides, food coloring, high protein diets, medications, drugs, alcohol and anger and resentment. All of that clogs our liver. Add fear and frustration, caffeinated drinks, soda, protein or energy drinks, and bottled water to the mix and wow, does that really clog our kidneys. You read correctly. Water too.

We've been told for as long as I remember, that water is essential to our health and it is. But back in the day, people had water that was clean, water with natural minerals from streams capturing microscopic minerals like gold, silver, copper. It's the minerals in water that help water hydrate us. But today, our water instead has arsenic, chlorine, fluoride and other toxic chemicals. The water most people drink is dehydrating them and is flushing out the few minerals they get from food. Let's face it folks, our soil has been demineralized. So here is where lemons come in.

.

Here are 5 ways lemons improve our health:

  1. 1. A quarter of a yellow lemon in a glass of water alkalizes, detoxes and mineralizes our water.

  2. 2. Water with minerals hydrates us. So lemon ads vital minerals.

  3. 3. Lemon in our water helps clean our kidney and liver filters.

  4. 4. It's a gentle degreaser so it helps break down body fat.

  5. 5. Lemons are loaded with Vitamin C and B6, calcium, potassium, magnesium, riboflavin and thiamin which help boost our immune system and body functions
